since you are looking for different inspection companies you may want to ask your present
fee company these questions for your own peace of mind.
What percent of their field staff is classified in the following categories?:

Do they provide Workers’ Compensation Coverage for all
of their employees?
Do they obtain certificates of Workers’ Compensation Insurance or
appropriate state exemption certificates from all of the Independent
Contractors who provide inspection services for them?
Does their field staff carry Photo ID cards with their company toll-free
telephone number provided?
Do they offer paid holidays & vacations, Medical Expense Reimbursement and
401k plans in order to attract and more importantly retain qualified
employees?
Do they have a formal training program in place including procedure manuals,
on-site field training, a mentoring / monitoring program, etc.?
Are they properly insured with Errors & Omissions, Liability, Non-Owned Auto
insurance Coverage?
Do they have a full-time Quality Review staff which reviews each and every survey
and/or service?
